Over my spring break I had done a lot of different things that involved being outside. The first thing that I did was go to the Riverside Air show it was so cool. There were over 50 different types of planes. There were modern day planes and WWI planes as well as WWII planes. My family and me got to sit under the D-Day Doll airplane, which was really neat. This was only because my dad and my brother help out with the airplane on weekends. We watched stunt planes and huge jests fly by. Then afterwards everyone went back to the D-Day Doll hanger and had a potluck dinner.
I rode my horses and helped my mom out with breaking four of the colts that we have. I went to barrel races and worked on training my horse to run the pattern. A few days latter my family and me celebrated Easter at my uncles house in Riverside, but the night before we went to church at night. We then had a big Easter dinner and then the little kids had an Easter egg hunt then we watched the movie Bed Time Stories. After that was over we all went home and took care of all of our horses.
A few days ago I went to go watch model airplanes fly in a competition. Some of them crash which was so sad; because the models were huge some of them took about three grown men to carry. One of the airplanes broke in two, it was the model of a German warplane; but it was so hot so my mom and me did not stay long.
Then I found some baby mice that I am now raising and it is not easy. I have to feed them every two to three hours that means in the middle of the night as well. The reason that I had to save them is because the cat ate one of the parents and the chickens that we have ate the other. Then a few days after I found the mice my sister found a baby bird, which I will not feed because I killed one an accident before. You have to be so careful when you feed them, so I leave that up to my mom.
Then I dug up the dirt in our backyard to start a big vegetable garden. I disked it all up with the tractor then I leveled it all out, now all I have to do is mix the fertilizer in the dirt along with the weed killer and I will be all set. That pretty much sums up what I did over my spring break.
